Select a location for wafer light installation after framing and prior to wallboard installation. The multiple hole sets in the Wafer Plate are designed to facilitate the selection of a location for electrical wires and fixture installation.
Line up any of the smaller arbor holes to the center of the chosen location for the electrical wires to be available for the wafer light to be installed, and fasten both sides of the Wafer Plate to the nearest two framing members with screws, nails, or staples.
Insert the Wafer Tube in the desired hole, marking where the wafer light will be installed. Insert electrical wires into the larger hole directly adjacent to the arbor tube, threading the electrical wires from behind the plate towards the front, and tape the electrical wires to the Wafer Tube, securing it in place.
Insulation and/or wall board can be installed over the Wafer Light Pro™ at this point, leaving a small hole where the Wafer Tube and electrical wires are. After wallboard is installed, the Wafer Tube and attached electrical wires will be protruding from the wall or ceiling, ready for the remaining fixture or wafer light installation steps.
Select a hole saw of an appropriate size for the wafer light or other fixture to be installed.
Detach the electrical wires from the Wafer Tube by removing the tape and gently push the electrical wires into the hole, just enough to be safe from damage by the hole saw without losing them in the hole altogether.
Guide the arbor of the hole saw into the Wafer Tube.
Drill hole into the wallboard, letting the Wafer Light Pro™ steady the hole saw.
Pull out the hole saw and clean the debris from the hole and the saw.
You are now ready to install your wafer light!
